On Saturday, February 23rd UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey defended her title against Liz Carmouche in the 1st round via armbar submission and became first UFC female champion. On Sunday GFC Karate and Judo students competed at “Compete Karate” and “Hayastan Grappling Challenge”. All students showed good skills and placed high in their divisions.

GFC Judo Students Showed Good Results at Open Judo Tournament 8.18.2012
On Saturday August 18, 2012 GFC Judo students competed at 2012 Golden State Open Judo Tournament in Anaheim, CA. GFC Students showed good results by getting two 1st places (Patrick Bagumyan and Hrach Mutafyan), two 2nd places (Derik Hagopian and Tony Harutunyan). Also Anthony Vartanian got 3rd place.
